As Global Practice Leader, Tim oversaw the activities of the worldwide network of professionals dedicated to these sectors and provided strategic management and thought leadership guidance. At the same time, he maintained a very active search practice within the retail and luxury sector. For the decade previous to this, Tim operated as Partner with Heidrick & Struggles, where he was a member of the firm’s Global Retail and Consumer Practices. He was also a former Managing Director with Herbert Mines Associates and Executive Director of Russell Reynolds Associates’ Consumer Products Practice and co-head of its North American Retail Practice. A former retail industry executive, Tim held numerous senior positions in merchandising, store operations and human resources with leading retailers such as the Gap, Charles A. Stevens and Dayton Hudson/Target Corporation. Tim graduated from Oakland University in Michigan. He is a Board Advisor of a Global Apparel Manufacturer based in Hong Kong, as well as an Advisor to the World Retail Congress conference.
